A period of silence and idleness is necessary

We are used to working. We are used to always doing something. Around the house, our family, around the children, our partner, at work, in the kitchen with friends and other. But what happens when suddenly the children are not here, the man has his own schedule, the house is clean, there is no need to cook, we don't feel like going out with friends? Or friends don't have time and it's quiet at work.

But what happens when suddenly the children are not here, the man has his own schedule, the house is clean, there is no need to cook, we don't feel like going out with friends? Or friends don't have time and it's quiet at work.

And it is not a matter of one hour, one day, but imagine that it is a period that lasts longer. After maybe an hour we don't know what to do with ourselves. We are addicted to activity. It is “expected" of us. We have a set rule in coded within us by our parents and society that "we have to do something", that "laziness is bad".

Some of us have an absolute fear of when someone asks us "what are you doing?" that we would say "nothing". Try to think how many times have you told someone that you are doing "nothing", or just relaxing, or just meditating?

But really, when was the last time you did "nothing" or just "relaxed" or just "meditated"?

Because the human body, soul, mind and heart are like batteries, and like any other battery in this world, this human one can discharge and needs to be recharged once in a while. Some batteries need an hour, some two and some need much more time, as they may have been really tested in life. Whether you're a man or a woman, we all need a period of silence, peace and quiet.

Some will tell me, "but it's not constructive", "nothing happens there", "it's boring", "I suffer when not doing something"

A period of silence is very constructive.

It's a time to really recharge. Time to think about what we want in life, what we enjoy in life, what pushes us and what direction we want to take.

During the period of silence, something happens. It is the time when our body finally has the opportunity to relax, regenerate, heal. It is a time when even our soul can become aware and perceive. We have the opportunity to finally think about "who we really are and what we want in life and what makes us happy.”. It’s a time when we at last can hear ourselves.

Yes, it can be boring.

When we are bored, it means that we are constantly missing something and we are chasing something. However, we achieve pure harmony and inner peace when we don't have to chase after anything.

The joy of life comes from within ourselves. Not from external circumstances. And when we finally learn to be happy and have joy, because of nothing specific at all, then we will achieve the highest freedom and independence. Everything else will be the icing on a cake, because at last we baked the cake ourselves from the ingredients that we have within us..

Are we suffering in a period of silence?

Honestly? Yes! And that's why we keep running away from it. This period is like a mirror. It finally gives us the opportunity to see our reality. It is a silence in which we finally have the opportunity to hear our soul and our heart, and what we hear is not always pleasant. It is a time of transformation, a time of change, a time of awareness.

Let us be inspired by this silence.

We don't have to think, you don't really have to do anything, let's let this time flow and things will come by themselves, ”let Go and let God/Universe“. Let God, Or the Universe, or instinct, or intuition, or your higher self (whatever you call “It") give you answers and let it lead the way.

It’s not an easy lesson to learn, but is essential. Ask for help if you are struggling with it. A good therapist can show you the way how to do it. Peace
